The MANCO project is presented on the European Research Area (ERA) corona platform. The European Commission has recently launched the ERA corona platform to provide useful information, dedicated support and updates on funding opportunities for coronavirus related research and innovation. The 8 partners of MANCO officially launched the project at the kick-off meeting on 17th April 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, a physical meeting was not possible so the MANCO kick-off meeting was held via videoconference. This did not stop this meeting from being successful. The MANCO project has been awarded €3 million from the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Programme. On 30th January 2020, the European Commission launched an emergency funding action to advance our understanding of the COVID-19 epidemic, contribute to more efficient clinical management of patients infected with the virus, as well as public health preparedness and response.
